Day 3 - HK Disneyland
U can consider this day as one of the days where I spent the most. (Gona faint when I get to see those credit card bills). Compared to Tokyo disneyland, this is so much smaller. Being small scale had its good points too. At least we managed to comb thru the whole theme park and sat most of those "recommended" rides. No need for fast pass coz there werent many visitors anyway. In Tokyo, we almost had to Q for every ride and was always lost (end up at the same area) and didnt manage to get most out of the theme park.
On our way there, one of the road direction signage fell coz it was blew off by the strong wind. The weather was so much colder, it was 11 degrees today while day one was 15 degrees. The cold weather stike unexpectedly, even HK govt had to set up some "bi feng tai" for those beggers to prevent them from freezing to death. Yes, not kidding or exaggerating, I saw them in the morning news while eating breakfast.
The entrance tickets are so cute!
My hubby ask me why got such big penis carrying Mickey Mouse up and down?
I like those ears so much, they belong to Eeyore.
I had my bro inlaw's GF to wear on the pussy cat one.
We first took the train around the theme park, only to notice how small it was. Got off at Fantasyland and took pictures with those characters.
These characters are stationed at pavillions so that we could Q and get to take pictures with them. They had professional cameras there to take for you too even though u can still ask them to take with yours. After which they give u a coupon so that u can view the pictures (at the end of the trip) and decide if u want to buy them @ HKD 120 each. We bought one as souvenior and my hubby kept complaining to me how ex it is to buy.
The shows were very nice, entertaining and full of surprises. One of which was very 3d, dunno whats the technology called. U got to put on a theatre glasses on, those pictures were just floating right in front of u... and the whole threatre got stawberry smell, small gust of water spraying at us and bubbles floating in the threatre when the show feature food, little mermaid etc etc. Nice!! Photography and videoing is stictly not allowed during the show.
The parade was just disappointing. A few mins before the start of the show, they announced that due to the weather, the show will be featured in an alternative manner. End up, is all sit in the bus and wave to us! Tokyo's version is they will dance and parade around the route (like chingay) KNN! felt so cheated.
We were also asked to welcome some marshall (the Koh family) where some human beings sat inside and waved to us. Wondering who they are, so da bpai.
After the rides we stil have plenty of time before our coach come to pick us up. To kill time and avoid the cold wind, we decided to take the shuttle bus to the disneyland hotel. The hotel is so grand and nice and cosy there. We rested our feet there and the seniors took their nap. Me and hubby went around to explore.
At the hotel lobby, in fact, the whole hotel is lited with these chandelier lights.

In a resturant, these characters walked about takeing photos with patrons. Goofy signalled for me to go in as I peaked into the restuarant.
He was very playful and kept messying up my hair. Hehehe.
I bought caps where u could sew your name on them. A set of new born baby clothings (very ex!) A few water bottles for my cousins, HP straps for my cousins, many cute toys for his newphew and shot glasses for keepsake....... all in all, I just spend alot there coz the things there are not cheap.
The grand finale was the fireworks at 8.00pm. We waited and worried that due to weather it will be cancelled but no leh, it wasnt. Brazed thru the heavy rain just to wait for the show to start. Disappointed again, because its just laser show and not like Tokyo where all of those characters will come out, staged and sing. Wasted my effort and time. Not only had to suffer the wetness but also embrace the cold!!! My whole body is just shivering loh, I am like a walking vibrator.
